Description
Environment
Firefox 35.0a1 (2014-09-06) • Adblock Plus 2.6.4.3861 • EasyList Hebrew+EasyList • Adblock Warning Removal List
How to reproduce
- Go to any article page on ynet.co.il, e.g. http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-4567961,00.html
- Wait a few minutes (2–3 on my system).
- Since EasyList Hebrew may update by the time you read this, I'm including a list of all filters currently applied to the page:
ynet.co.il###ads\.300x600\.1 calcalist.co.il,frogi.co.il,mynet.co.il,ynet.co.il###ads\.top ynet.co.il###art_bottom_adsense-1 ynet.co.il###startPlaying ynet.co.il###ww6s_Main ynet.co.il##.CAATVcompAdvertiseTv ynet.co.il##.HTcompData ynet.co.il##.HTleshonitDiv[style="width:300px; background: #000066;"] ynet.co.il##.element.B3.ghcite.noBottomPadding + .element.B3.ghcite + .element.B3.ghcite + .element.B3.ghcite + .element.B3.ghcite ##.item-container-ad ynet.co.il##.leshonitMain.leshonitBorderRectangle |http://ad.$domain=co.il ://ads. ||ynet.co.il^*/ynetbanneradmin/ ||go.ynet.co.il/short/commerce/ ||linicom.co.il^$third-party ||pagead2.googlesyndication.com^$~object-subrequest ||s.tool-site.com^$third-party /adimages/*$~subdocument /AttractiveAds_ /dcloadads/*
Observed behavior
The browser freezes: the window is dimmed and "(Not responding)" is added to the end of the window title. Firefox doesn't display the "Unresponsive Script" warning at any point.
Expected behavior
Presumably, Firefox should've displayed the "Unresponsive Script" warning that would've allowed to continue browsing.
Notes
Please don't reflexively dismiss this is a filter problem. The issue here is that Adblock Plus should never cause Firefox to freeze, regardless of filters. If there's a different problem here than a script gone haywire, or some technical reason why the "Unresponsive Script" prompt can't show in this case, please explain.

Mass-closing all bugs in Adblock Plus for Firefox module, the codebase of Adblock Plus 3.0 belongs into Platform and User-Interface modules. Old bugs are unlikely to still apply.
