  • Ticket #3203 – Description

    initial v2
    1 === Environment ===
    2 Platform: iPhone 5s
    3 Operating System: iOS 8.4
    4 Browser: Adblock Browser 1.2.0-STAGE (522)
     1=== Background ===
     2Modern Browser indicate the use of secure and validated SSL connections and certificates by showing a lock sign (and sometimes the URL) in different colors. Since users got used to this, it's wise to also include this indicator to Adblock Browser.
    53
    6 === How to reproduce ===
    7  1. Launch the browser
    8  2. Tap on the URL bar at the top of the screen where it reads "Search or enter website name"
    9  3. Enter, for example, www.barclays.co.uk
    10  4. When the website has loaded, tap on "Log in" at the top right of the screen
    11
    12 === Observed behaviour ===
    13 Despite being a secure connection, there is no indication of this in the URL bar.
    14
    15 === Expected behaviour ===
    16 There should be an indication of some sort, e.g. a padlock, to let the user know that the connection is encrypted and therefore secure.
     4=== What to change ===
     5In Adblock Browser for iOS, add a visible indication of secure SSL usage  e.g. a padlock, to let the user know that the connection is encrypted and therefore secure.
