Fetch API is in the preview state in Microsoft Edge. Even though it is enabled by default, it does not seem like it supports fetches from within the extension bundle.

What to change

Use the same fallback mechanism as in Chrome to deliver subscriptions.xml using XMLHttpRequest.

Edge now supports Fetch API since Microsoft Edge build 14342. Closing this.
