# IT System Administrator - Cologne office

We create software that puts users in control over their online browsing experience. Our products, such as Adblock Plus, Adblock Browser and Flattr, help sustain and grow a fair, open web, because they give users control while providing user-friendly monetization. Our most popular product, Adblock Plus, is currently used on over 100 million devices.

Our multi-cultural team wants to change the Internet for the better, and you can become an important part of it. As a team of nearly 100 colleagues, some working in Germany and others working remotely around the world, it’s crucial that we have efficient means of communication at all times. - Plan and improve conference room setups
- Provide A/V tech support at live events hosted by eyeo
- Ensure every employee, whether remote or local, has a good camera and microphone setup

## What we expect

- Working experience with online video conferencing solutions
- Experience in hardware and software support, including operating systems
- Interest in audio / video equipment (e.g. Band / DJ / Theater technician)

## Nice to have

- Experience with a wide range of operating systems

- Knowledge of video conferencing systems hardware
- Professional experience in audio / video recording / mixing
- Professional experience in audio / video post-production editing
- Knowledge about room acoustics and how they impact conference rooms

I'm guessing " (< 160 chars)" wasn't supposed to be part of the description.

I thought that you didn't like the bit about salary expectations?

Also, it's a little strange to say "get in contact with your CV/resume" on a page that has an "apply now" button that leads to an application form isn't it?

I'm going to push this now and update it later if needed. I'll wait for your feedback before closing this issue. Please respond to comment:11 specifically; at least.

Note: "Frontend Developer" is "Between Flattr Community Manager and Filter List Supporter".

I'm going to place this above Frontend Developer for now.

Note: Please remove extra spaces at the end of lines.

I've removed these in my implementation. Don't worry about updating the ticket.

Please see https://www.w3.org/TR/html5/text-level-semantics.html#the-em-element for an explanation of how and when to use emphasis.

I'm going to not emphasize the last two paragraphs and surround the last paragraph with a small tag (See The small element) for now.

A commit referencing this issue has landed:
Issue 5427 - Added IT Systems Administrator role to jobs

comment:14 Changed 2 years ago by juliandoucette

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Please respond to comment:11 specifically; at least.

I've created #5437 in order to address this issue separately.

(I'm closing this as fixed, but that doesn't prevent anyone from adding feedback and/or requesting changes.)

@juliandoucette

  1. My thoughts on the two additional sentences (copied from my response in #5437):
  • We don't really need them in the ad since 1.) we already state the "equal opportunity workplace" bit on eyeo.com/jobs (I think it was included in the last couple ads because we were waiting for ticket #5221 to be implemented) and 2.) "get in contact with your CV..." doesn't really sound right. Since we have the "Apply now" button at the bottom of each ad, I suggest removing that sentence completely.
  • However, it's probably important to include these things within ads placed on job boards, etc. For those ads, I suggest:
    • Please send us a copy of your CV/resume, a brief summary of why you're the right fit for the role, and your earliest start date.
    • eyeo is an equal opportunity employer and encourages people of all genders, ethnicities, national origins, orientations, etc. to apply.
  1. Regarding the additional spaces - noted.
  2. Regarding underscores vs. dashes - noted.
Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
