How to reproduce

  1. Watch a video from 6 ABC Action News

Observed behaviour

An ad is displayed and doesn't let me skip it.

Expected behaviour

No ad is supposed to display at all.

For example,

I go to and an ad is displayed before the actual video begins.

The video from comment 1 doesn't seem to have an ad anymore. Albeit other videos on the site do.

Update: it is just that you don't get ads all the time.

You need the following blocking filter



and url rewrite as issue #6592 mentions.

Seems to work in Chrome but in Firefox 60.0.1 the player is black. Tested with the suggested filters and ABP

With these two filters

One filter is enough if you rewrite the parameter "ad" to something else.
example &ad=$rewrite=&abp=

Add Comment

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
as closed .
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from (none).
