How to reproduce

  1. Go to
  1. Right click on the top left image. (TCEC in white letters)
  2. Select "block element" for ABP.
  3. Reload the page.
  4. If a very similar image still appears on the upper left side, repeat processes 2 to 4.

Observed behaviour

Once reloaded and a white space replaces the image, the counter of blocked ads will rise without limit and reaches thousands of blocked ads after a few seconds. As if ABP tried to block the image over and over. This makes the computer slow to react.

Expected behaviour

After I block an image, I expect it not to appear anymore (nor any white space) after reloading the page. I do not expect to see a white space nor do I expect to see the counter of blocked ads to rise without limits.

That behavior is triggered for me when I block the right top image (the donate one)

However for the left top image, better hide that element, using:

Sometimes, removing (blocking) an element in the page, the page will be broken (and the counter will go on continuosly).

For the placeholders still visible, it's probably a duplicate (issue):
