Environment

ABP 1.3
IE 11
windows 7

How to reproduce

-prepare in firefox a patterns.ini including easylist + easyprivacy
-replace patterns.ini from ABP for IE with that from firefox
-go to ​http://maps.yahoo.com/

-internet explorer becomes unresponsive

-in firefox the culprit (high CPU) was a blocked request, adding an exception filter it was fixed (but the browser is still responsive)
