Maxthon 4.4.4.1200-beta-c
How to reproduce
- Go to any webpage: e.g. cnn.com
- Go to the Maxthon settings menu (hamburger icon on the top right)
- Toggle Adblock Plus to "Off"
- Go to another webpage: e.g. nytimes.com
Observed behaviour
ABP is still enabled
Expected behaviour
ABP should be disabled

I think it is very confusing that the switch in the maxthon menu for Adblock Plus only toggles for one website. Ad the icon menu of Adblock Plus already does this with the more obvious label "Block ads on this website", it would make way more sense to have the switch in the Maxthon menu toggle it globally.

Agreed, I would also use that toggle to switch off/on the adblocking functionality. However, it is their browser, they should be able to decide on how to treat the toggling of their browser features.

As the switch is arguably affecting ABP functionality, this decision should be up to us. I am fine, if they change the label to smtg more obvious there.

This is intentional. ABP can be disabled in the UI.
