Description (last modified by matze)
Our Nagios frontend is only available via one distinct HTTP/HTML resource. As Infrastructure module owner, I prefer being informed about issues via mobile device(s), especially because I do not check my e-mail as frequently as other folks and prefer a pro-active reporting.
However, our current setup neither provides an advanced AJAX/HTML5/WebX.0/etc interface (which some mobile browsers can provide with notifications just as desktop ones), nor a service API for third-party app(lication)s.
This is a meta ticket for collecting tasks that are required to provide such an interface. It's not quite trivial due to security concerns from my side; the to-be-chosen tool-stack must be carefully audited regarding such aspects.

Any mobile solution would currently suffer from the mass of alerts? Well, I believe the attached screenshot shows that this can be handled. Though it's not a stable state yet.. :)
