Description (last modified by sven)
Environment
Safari: v. 8.0.3 (10600.4.8)
OS: Apple OS X Yosemite v. 10.10.2 (14C2055)
Filterlists: EasyList Germany+EasyList
How to reproduce
- Go to http://dribbble.com
- Watch the ad counter jumping to 1 in a middle position
- Go to http://www.wired.com
- Watch the ad counter jumping from a middle position to the upper position
Observed behaviour
The position of the ad counter is bouncing from the middle-right position of the ABP icon to the top-right position of the ABP icon. This behavior is not always observable and not always with the number "1" in the ad counter but also with other numbers.
Expected behaviour
The ad counter should always appear in the upper right corner of the ABP icon

I did. The bug number is 20324407, their bug tracker isn't public however.
I'm aware of this issue, but I don't think that we can do something about it. This behavior suddenly started to occur with Safari 8. Safari's extension API merely lets us set the badge number. How it is presented it entirely up to Safari. So I presume a bug there.
