Which version of Adblock Plus are you using? Is it only that one option, or does other settings and filter lists get reset as well? How long do you have to wait usually until this happens? Does it get reset while Adblock Plus is running, or only when you restart the browser or reload the extension?

Adblock Plus version 1.8.12
The "Allow some non-intrusive advertising" option glitches most, but other filterlists occasionally glitch.
Glitches approximately 3 to 12 days.
Mostly while Adblock Plus is running, but sometimes when the browser is relaunched.

I suggest to try what mapx said, starting over with a fresh browser profile. It might be corrupted.
