Yes you are right it's happening only on Firefox, do you have a time line by when this would be FIXED.

I'm not able to reproduce with ABP being disabled on search.yahoo.com

If anything, this must be related to the search.yahoo.com###main > div[id^="yui_"][data-bk][data-bns] .res[data-bk] filter that is somehow triggered when an ad is clicked. However, I am unable to reproduce this issue in Firefox 37.
Does this behavior depend on the ad you click on? I don't get any ads when searching for "pizza," have to search for something like "credit acceptance" instead. Does it happen again after you reload the page?
Which filter subscriptions do you have?

Yes this happens when you click on the ad.
Can you re-try on other queries which shows ads for you.[It's not the problem with the query its a problem when users click on ad].
Well the second click on the same ad does navigate the the Users to the Ad page.
ABPindo+EasyList is the subscription.

@sandeshhegde
Please go into the filter preferences of Adblock Plus and press Ctrl+Shift+T. Are you able to reproduce it after that?

Mass-closing all bugs in Adblock Plus for Firefox module, the codebase of Adblock Plus 3.0 belongs into Platform and User-Interface modules. Old bugs are unlikely to still apply.
I can reproduce it (enabling acceptable ads) in Firefox but not in chrome.
I can reproduce it even disabling ABP for search.yahoo.com, so probably it's due to #521.
