  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

This is not a defect nor a change that was decided upon yet. You might want to post it here. However, you should describe things in greater detail like giving the browser you are looking at and that you want to improve. Additionally, you should describe how selecting one filter will still work, if selecting one always selects all (maybe a "select all" checkbox).

@Caspid
You can press the Spacebar key to toggle the status of multiple filters.

the browser you are looking at

Firefox and Seamonkey. No other browsers let you disable individual filters.

Additionally, you should describe how selecting one filter will still work, if selecting one always selects all (maybe a "select all" checkbox).

Nothing of the sort was suggested. Open the Filter Preferences window, Custom Filters tab. Hold down either the Shift key or Ctrl, then left-click a few filters. Now you have multiple filters selected.
This report requested that

  1. Left-clicking one of the checkboxes at this stage should change the status of all the other selected checkboxes (a bad idea, I think).
  2. The right-click menu should have an option to toggle the status of all selected filters. I would add that such an option could also be added under the Filter Actions button.
