Background

'Ad blocking' is better for SEO (according to Google's Keyword Tool which shows search volume) and is the more popular term (according to Google Trends).

Therefore, we've decided to use 'Ad blocking' in all external-facing content & marketing materials (i.e. FAQs, Play Store, PR, etc.)

To maintain consistency, we should also change to 'Ad blocking' in:

  • the new options page
  • the Adblock Browser UI (Android and iOS)
  • the adblockplus.org website
