Description

Environment

Firefox 39
Adblock Plus 2.6.10
Ubuntu 15.04

How to reproduce

  1. Open the filter preferences of ABP
  2. Click on "Backup and Restore"
  3. Click on "Create new backup..."
  4. Type a name for the file and save it ("All filters and subscriptions" but it also happens with "Custom filters only")
  5. Try to restore the file via "Restore own backup..."

Observed behaviour

The saved files have no file extensions, hence Adblock Plus doesn't recognize them as restorable when you want to select them. One must rename them and add either .ini or .txt to them.

Expected behaviour

Adblock Plus should create backups with file extensions on Linux.

  • Resolution set to rejected
  • Status changed from new to closed

Mass-closing all bugs in Adblock Plus for Firefox module, the codebase of Adblock Plus 3.0 belongs into Platform and User-Interface modules. Old bugs are unlikely to still apply.
