Environment

Windows + 8.1 64bit + Firefox + English
ABP version 2.6.9.3959 build

How to reproduce

  1. Load about:support in browser window
  2. Select [Show Folder] next to "Profile Folder"
  3. In this directory, ensure the "adblockplus" directory does not exist. If it already exists, delete it
  4. With Firefox, navigate to "about:config"
  5. Search for "general.useragent.locale"
  6. Set "general.useragent.locale" to "fr"
  7. Close all Firefox windows, wait for the process to end and restart Firefox
  8. With Firefox, navigate to the .XPI file at ​https://adblockplus.org/devbuilds/adblockplus/00latest.xpi
  9. Select the [Install Now] button in the [Software Installation] window
  10. Check that the ABP First Run Page has been opened

 

Observed behaviour

First Run page doesn't load when install addon on French locale (adblockplus profile folder is removed).
Also when I open Profile folder I see adblockplus profile folder is not created after French ABP addon installation.

Expected behaviour

First Run page should display.

After re-checking the locale setting in Fire Fox the First Run page now correctly displays after installing ABP.
