Background

On our donation page we give the visitor the option to choose the currency the donation should be in. At the moment the currencies are $ (USD) and € (EUR).

What to change

Add £ (GBP) as a a currency to adblockplus.org/donate and make sure it works with both payment providers.

Since it was me setting up the credit card acceptance, I can tell you about that:
Accepting an additional currency means one new contract with the credit card acceptance provider and one new (~bank) account per credit card issuing company. Since we accept Amex and Visa/Master, that's three more contracts to make. Once done, one has to integrate another currency into the accounting process. Then, we may change the website and the iframe integration, which is rather trivial however.

I wasn't involved with Paypal at all, so I can't tell about that.

In general, we probably don't want to add an additional currency unless we expect huge amounts of payments there, since it's really quite a bit of effort unfortunately.

Hi there,

as we don't get a lot of donations (esp not from the UK), let's not bother. It also would mean one more paypal currency and isn't worth the hassle.

I'll reject the ticket
