ABP was blocking youtube ads perfectly fine for the past few months of this year but it stopped working as of yesterday, which coincidentally the new update 1.8.0.1176 was released. Regardless, using the latest version or the previous version 1.7.4.1173, the 10-30s ads on youtube are no longer being blocked! :( I'm using Safari 7.0 on Macbook Pro 13 late 2013 model running mavericks 10.9.

It seems that YouTube just updated their website around the same time we released Adblock Plus 1.8 for Safari. Now it isn't sufficient anymore to disable the history API before the player is loaded, and must be done earlier before YouTube's JavaScript is executed.
