The ads are in the DOM. The DOM with or without ad blocking is totally equal (well, bar the fact that the Outbrain feed is not always the same). See the attached Web Inspector screenshots. So the ads are there BUT INVISIBLE when ad blocking is ON. I need to consult Salsita CSS guru on this.
ANYWAY. Out of curiosity, i tried Desktop Chrome with ABP 1.12.2.1663, switched to smartphone simulation mode, and THE ADS ARE NOT VISIBLE EITHER. See the third attached screenshot. Please confirm this finding.

So the site is clearly sprayed with a CSS hiding selector
.ob_container .item-container-obpd { display: none }
This applies to ABB/iOS as well as desktop Chrome in phone simulation mode.
The hidden element is exactly that:
<div class="item-container ob-recIdx-0 item-container-obpd ob-p">
Not in full desktop mode. The desktop formatting is different and element classes are different - generally named ob-dynamic* or ob-widget*.
Looking into the filter lists, default filter list declares
##.ob_container .item-container-obpd ##.ob_container a[data-redirect^="http://paid.outbrain.com/network/redir?"]
so AA exceptions are supposed to cancel that, i guess. Which doesn't work.

@scheer @mario close?

- Milestone set to Adblock-Browser-for-iOS-next
- Resolution set to fixed
- Status changed from new to closed
Is this about "Full site" (i.e. desktop)? When i'm (by default) redirected to m.foxnews.com, i can't find any sponsored content at all regardless of ABP/AA settings.
