Description
This is an odd one and might well conflict with #5363. misha found this issue after restarting the app and after some time of working together on the issue, we were able to come up with some steps to reproduce. The slightly better news here is that, following the steps below, I was unable to reproduce this problem on sites displaying the same sort of Outbrain content.
This issue appears to be more of an issue with the engine re-initialising after an app restart mixed in with some sort of AA list confliction on reuters.com.
Environment
adblockbrowser-1.1.1.20170612182010-arm
Galaxy S7
Android 7.0
How to reproduce
- Load an article on Reuters.com
- Scroll to the bottom of the article
- Close the app completely with the device menu button
- Restart the app
- Select the article as mentioned in step 1. from the history pane
- Half way through loading the page stop the load
- Scroll to the Sponsored content and observe that AA's are displayed
- Select one of the Outbrains Sponsored Content ads
Observed behaviour
The Outbrain ad is attempted to load, but fails and reverts back to the original article and reflects the same issue as #5363.
Expected behaviour
The outbrain ad loads correctly.
