I'm experiencing MMS issues with ABP as well.
Version 1.2.1 build# 318
Android 4.2.2 (rooted)
Galaxy S4 on Cricket/AT&T

Some people on the forums suggested a workaround of using port 8080, but I couldn't get MMS to work on that port, so I'm stuck with ABP disabled.
