Environment

Samsung + Galaxy S6 Edge + Android 5.1.1

How to reproduce

  1. Install Adblock Browser for Android
  2. Change the browser's language into German, for example, by tapping on the Menu and then on Settings > Language > System default > Deutsch
  3. Go one step back by tapping on the arrow at the top left of the screen
  4. Tap on Adblock Browser at the end of the menu and then on "Häufig gestellte Fragen"

Observed behaviour

The redirect link is https://adblockplus.org/en/faq which displays the website in English instead of German

Expected behaviour

The redirect link should be https://adblockplus.org/de/faq in order to have the FAQ displayed in German.

Please note that this also occurs when tapping on the section "Datenschutzerklärung" in "Über Adblock Browser" as well as with different languages into which those websites are localised.

The original issue with the DE FAQ not being shown is fixed, but it appears that we do not cover as many language types in the FAQ page as we do in the browser itself. So, if for example, I change my language to Chinese then the following FAQ URL is loaded 'https://adblockbrowser.org/zh/android-support/faq', which takes me to a 404.

Although I am sure there are limited variations to languages that cause this, the question would be if we bundle the closest languages available to that language set, or if we default to English. I am unsure if resource wise it makes sense to translate into all available languages that the browser support on the FAQ page, although, in an ideal world this would be 'best case scenario'.

The redirect issue is related to #4040. I have just reopened that ticket and added the required info in order to be fixed.
