Description (last modified by mario)
Background
GDPR will take effect on May the 24th. In order to be compliant with GDPR we need to add information about our privacy policy, terms of use and imprint as outlined below.
Please note that those changes will need to land before April 24th in order to facilitate a release in time.
What to change
Preparation
In order to be able to reach the new settings item with 2 clicks (GDPR requirement), perform the following changes. These changes are a requirement for the following changes under "Terms of Use" and "Imprint":
- Remove the settings item Settings -> Adblock Browser -> FAQ
- Move the settings item Settings -> Adblock Browser -> Give feedback to the landing page under Settings -> Adblock Browser -> About Adblock Browser
- Link the settings item Settings -> Adblock Browser to the landing page currently located at Settings -> Adblock Browser -> About Adblock Browser and dismiss the currently displayed settings pane under Settings -> Adblock Browser.
Terms of Use
- Under Settings -> Adblock Browser add a new settings item Terms of Use
- When the item Terms of Use is clicked, open the following link in ABB: https://adblockplus.org/terms
Imprint
- Under Settings -> Adblock Browser add a new settings item Imprint
- When the item Imprint is clicked, display a settings view with the title Imprint and the following content:
eyeo GmbH Lichtstraße 25 50825 Cologne Germany Support: Adblock Plus Forum Email: info@eyeo.com Telephone: +49 (0)221 / 65028 598 Fax: +49 (0)221 / 65028 599 VAT-ID: DE279292414 District Court Cologne: HRB 73508 Managing Directors: Till Faida Felix Dahlke Steffen Kiedel

Thanks Judith!
@jwangenheim, unfortunately the "About" page is nested that deeply by default I guess.
Would it be possible to move Settings -> Adblock Browser -> FAQ as well as Settings -> Adblock Browser -> Give feedback to the landing page and then link Settings -> Adblock Browser to said landing page instead of Settings -> Adblock Browser -> About Adblock Browser? That's the only minor change I can think of to make it available in 4 clicks.

You mean less than 4, meaning two if anyhow possible, right?
Thanks again

Judith, sorry, I misunderstood that. Does tapping the menu button (burger icon) count as a click already? If so, we need to make these links (Imprint, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use) available on the top level of the settings pane for all Applications. As all of them require a click on the "burger icon" before the settings can be reached.

Tricky, but I would argue not (that why I added a LGTM in the iOS ticket). Thus, 2 clicks + burger icon

Thanks, Judith! That works.
@Jens, that would require us to merge the two settings panes as suggested. Do you think that's possible?

@Mario:
We already have FAQ (with a link to the forum) on the landing page. So we would only need to move Settings -> Adblock Browser -> Give feedback. But that would mean that it's still 3 clicks to see the imprint, terms of use and privacy policy.
From the coding point of view that isn't too much effort.

@Jens, if we don't count the burger menu as a click as Judith suggested, it'd be two clicks to see the links: Settings -> Adblock Browser
@Judith, just to double-check: that'd be fine, right?
If confirmed, I'll rewrite the description to reflect this.

Just one reminder:
headline should be expressive enough. Meaning user must be able to find what he/she is lookng for. Under "Give feedback" nobody would expect legal information. Thus, we should go for something like "legal"

Correct and "Adblock Browser" is expressive enough
If confirmed, I'll rewrite the description to reflect this.

@Mario @Judtih
Thanks for clarification. I thought that the user must be able to read the actual terms, imprint etc. within 2 clicks.

Imprint must be available with at least two clicks. The proposed above solution is 4 clicks (same with Privacy Policy and terms), any chance to reduce the clicks, like adding a "Legal" button in "Settings"
