Description
Background
The contributors page on adblockplus.org is linked to from the extension's first run page, which is displayed when the extension is installed. As of the filing of this issue the page contains outdated information:
- Active contributors are missing
- Much of the current WebExt team is missing
- Some of the UI team is missing
- Very active filter list authors who are pushing filters on an hourly basis now to keep ads blocked are missing
- Contributors who are no longer active are still listed as active contributors rather than historical contributors
Who is a contributor?
The definition of "contributor" is not entirely clear: everybody on the team page contributes to Adblock Plus in some way. At the same time, it should be clear from the context here that "contributor" refers to those who contribute directly to the source code rather than those who perform support roles for the project. The team page also does not list external contributors.
At the very least, the contributors page should include developers, QA engineers, and filter list authors.
Since this page is relevant only for the browser extension, it should only include those who contribute to the browser extension, directly or indirectly.
What to change
(To be determined.)

Issue 6915 - Add developers to contributors page
I think that's a great idea. While, starting with the next major update, we're no longer going to link to it from the first-run page, I'm all for highlighting contributors - especially external ones - as much as we can.
While we're at it, I'd imagine that we may also want to redesign that page (e.g. similar to the previous eyeo.com/team page) to make it feel more personal and to encourage more people to contribute.
