Environment

App: Firefox Beta 34.0
OS: CyanogenMod 11.0-XNPH44S
ABP: Adblock Plus 2.6.6
Filterlists: EasyList Dutch + EasyList

How to reproduce

  1. Make sure to be opted-out of Acceptable Ads
  2. Go to google.com
  3. Search for "Credit" or another popular AdWords keyword

Observed behaviour

Google AFS ads are not blocked / hidden unless shown in desktop mode.

Expected behaviour

Google AFS ads should be blocked / hidden.

My suspicion is that this has nothing to do with Acceptable Ads - element hiding simply doesn't work in general. Unfortunately, testing this is pretty hard on Firefox Mobile.

I don't get any ads when requesting the "desktop version" of google.com but I do get them when I request the "mobile version". So this might just be a filter issue.

This is indeed a filters issue. I changed user agent of my desktop Firefox to get the mobile version of the page - EasyList isn't hiding anything there. I reported the issue in their forum: http://forums.lanik.us/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=19733
