Description

Background

While we regularly download notifications, we currently only check for new notifications to display on startup. We should do this regularly, too.

What to change

Make sure we display any new notifications that get downloaded relatively soon.

I haven't eventually started to work on this. I de-assigned myself. So everybody else can feel free to work on this issue.
