Background
Some users reported that they miss a forward and backward swipe gesture possibility to be able to see the previous or subsequent page again. At the moment we only deliver the back and forward button in the bottom bar.
What to change
Implement a backward swipe gesture which makes it possible for users to swipe from the left display side to the right. For the forward method this should be possible by swiping from the right display side to the left. While swiping, a smooth transition should be observable (the whole feature should work like on safari).

I've created #3201 as a follow up, as this one is already on staging. The new issues addresses minor usage problems and doesn't block this very ticket IMO.

@pavelz, in CW40 we were discussing about how this could be implemented best. However as far as the meeting notes go, we only concluded, that you're going to investigate. Is there anything we can assist with (decision/UI/change) or is this ready to be implemented as outlined in the issue description?
