blockable items list continous to show up

Environment

windows 10 AU, firefox 50.0, ABP 2.8.2.

How to reproduce

1. Open the browser
2. Unfocus firefox browser window
3. Focus firefox browser window
4. The window blockable items list appear

Observed behaviour

The issue is occours even with clean installation of firefox and ABP, if will click on detach button on window blockable items list, the window blockable items list desappear and appear really fast

Expected behaviour

The blockable items list window should not appear

Hello there!
As was mentioned in the corresponding forum thread, I happen to experience the exact same issue, but, possibly, have a bit more luck fighting the symptoms.

So the pattern, as far as could establish it, is as follows.

Whenever I close a Firefox session with ABP turned on, the next time I start Firefox the blockable items list appears, always.

Whichever page happens to be open in Firefox (incl. add-ons preferences, settings, etc.), ABP's blockable items list shows up. I would click to close it and it'd reappear immediately. I'd click again -- it stays closed. But then, if I switch focus to whichever other program, or another Firefox window, the list pops up again. Oh, and nothing is being reported in the browser console.
Moreover, if I detach the blockable items list, its window starts showing up and closing of its own accord, incessantly.

But then, for me, there appears to exist a reliable workaround.
Whenever the list started showing up, there are two possibilities, and what triggers one or the other behaviour is a mystery to me. In roughly half the cases simply turning ABP off and then immediately on works and makes the list go away until the next time I restart Firefox. In the other half, though, the list would reappear after re-enabling ABP within one given session, -- then I would have to turn ABP off, restart, turn it on, and, again, the list won't appear until restart.
