Description
Environment
Ubuntu 14.04 (64 bit) and Linux Mint 16 (Cinnamon, 64 bit)
Firefox 29
Adblock Plus 2.6.3.3833
How to reproduce
- Open the filter preferences window
- Drag it at a corner to make it bigger
- Close and re-open it, the new window size stays
- Click on the maxmize icon and close the window
Observed behaviour
The window doesn't stay maxmized, it keeps the size in step 2.
Expected behaviour
It should stay maximized.

Strange behavior, also sidebarDetached.xul (Detached window of blockable item option) seems to work okey under the linux, the difference is that it's using window.openDialog instead of Services.ww.openWindow.

No, on OpenSUSE 13.1 the detached window of blockable items won't remember its "maximized" state either. I tried both the preinstalled Firefox 25 and the official Firefox 31 build.

Strange I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 (Unity) and "blockable items" work fine, also could achieve similar result by changing Services.ww.openWindow to window.openDialog for "Filter preferences".
Maybe that could be a matter of "desktop environment" also ?

- Resolution set to rejected

Mass-closing all bugs in Adblock Plus for Firefox module, the codebase of Adblock Plus 3.0 belongs into Platform and User-Interface modules. Old bugs are unlikely to still apply.
I verified that this works correctly on Windows and OS X, so this issue is Linux-specific. I'm pretty certain that this is a long-standing Firefox limitation on Linux but I couldn't find an existing issue on that. It seems that we need to file a Mozilla bug on persisting sizemode="maximized" on Linux.
