Background

Currently the whole filter list is downloaded when the filter list is updated (e.g. once a day in case of EasyList). We'd like to decrease bandwidth usage while updating filter lists at a higher frequency.

What to change

Add a script that accepts inputs for base and latest filter lists, and an optional output file. Generate the diff and write it to the specified output file, or to stdout if there's no outfile. The diff from the current version to itself should be blank. The rest of the specification can be found ​here.
